1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Solitaire Publishing (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms set out below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Use of Service
Solitaire Publishing provides free browser-based solitaire games and accompanying written guides for entertainment purposes. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable national or international law or regulation
- Attempt to interfere with, compromise the integrity of, or circumvent the security of the Service
- Use a robot, spider, scraper, or other automatic means to access the Service for any purpose, other than reasonable use by well-known search-engine crawlers that honor our
robots.txt - Introduce any malware, viruses, worms, or other technologically harmful material
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy substantial portions of the Service's source code with the intent to republish it elsewhere
3. Intellectual Property Rights
The written guides, page layouts, original artwork, and source code that make up the Service are owned by Solitaire Publishing and protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual-property laws. The underlying solitaire games (Klondike, Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid, TriPeaks) are traditional card games in the public domain; we make no claim to the games themselves, only to our implementations and written coverage of them. Short fair-use quotations of the guides are welcome with a link back to the source page.
4. User Data and Privacy
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: gameplay data lives in your browser; the site uses Google Analytics and Google AdSense, both explained in the policy and in the Cookie Policy.
5. Advertising
Display advertising from Google AdSense and its partners is shown on pages across the site. We do not endorse advertisers or the products they promote, and we are not responsible for the content of the ads themselves. If you believe an ad violates Google's policies, you can report it through the "AdChoices" icon on the creative or through Google's ad-violation form.
6. No Warranty
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solitaire Publishing disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Guides on the site reflect general, widely accepted knowledge of the games and are not professional advice of any kind.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Solitaire Publishing will not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including lost game progress caused by browser storage being cleared or by switching devices.
8. Changes to Service
We may add, modify, or withdraw parts of the Service at our discretion without prior notice, and we will not be liable if any portion is unavailable at any time.
9. External Links
The Service contains links to third-party websites (for example, Google's own policy and opt-out pages). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
